The project brief was to source a piece of furniture and give it new life, while still keeping something original about it. I sourced this piece from Facebook Marketplace locally, it was honestly very heavy and well built. From the moment I saw it I knew what I wanted to do. The first thought was to remove the legs and give it the appearance of a floating coffee table.
Here are process pictures of me sanding the table after removing the legs. I then built the base, attached it and painted the underside of the glass to give it the saturated blue look I wanted instead of the teal.
